Dr. Mari Ann Callais has worked in higher education for more than 25 years. She has served as an assistant professor at Mississippi State University, a fraternity/sorority professional at Southeastern Louisiana University, worked in corporate off campus student housing and now serves as the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives for Delta Delta Delta Fraternity and as a speaker for ForCollegeForLife. She has also held the position of national president for her sorority, Theta Phi Alpha.
Mari Ann has presented hundreds of workshops on fraternity and sorority values, student leadership and team building. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans, and a Masters’ of Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University where she wrote her dissertation on Sorority Rituals and Behavior.
She has been honored with many awards throughout the years. Most importantly, Dr. Mari Ann or “Dr. MAC” as she is known in many circles, believes in the power of community, understands the power of belonging, and believes all humans have the right to succeed and be treated with respect.
